My dad, he called the Police that night.
My Mom, she shook her head in fright.
The damage done to me was bad
Just thinking about it made me mad.
Not one, but two were missing there.
They just fell out! It was a scare!
I’m only seven! I said in despair.
Certainly… this MUST BE RARE…
To have your teeth fall right-out-of-your-head
While you are just laying so comfy in bed.
Back and forth and side to side
I wiggled them, I made them slide.
I moved them ‘till I could feel them under
They were so lose I began to wonder…
If they’d stay through another day.
Perhaps I’d lose them when I went to play.
My wonder would not last too long
For in a moment, they were GONE!
I could not decide… my eyes went wide.
I tried to be brave, but I still cried.
My mom came running oh so fast
She said the pain would not last.
The teeth were taken, cleaned, and placed in a cup.
She said "It’s OK if you’d like to get up".
I said alright and leaned on the wall
Pulled up my pajamas and went down the hall.
I went into the bathroom and gave a big stare.
I opened my mouth and saw NOTHING WAS THERE!
Now I guess it’s not so bad ‘cause I’ve been told…
"You will look just that way, when you are old".
But for now, I’m glad they will grow back in.
It may take a long while, but I’ll have a NICE GRIN.
Topic assignment made by Tyler, who said "I am not going to tell you the topic, I am going to show you" He then opened his mouth to show that his two front teeth were MISSING! November 2014 in Mint Hill, North Carolina
